In 2008 the idea was presented to the Texas District UPCI Sunday School committee to have a district singles conference. Single Adult Ministry was under the umbrella of the Sunday School department at that time. Thankfully, the committee gave approval. Texas District Single Adult Ministry is no longer under Sunday School (now Children's Ministry), but we will forever be grateful for these men of God who caught the vision and wholeheartedly supported this ministry and conference in its beginning.
Singles Conference began in 2008 and has continued to grow each year. The first conference took place at Calvary UPC in Denton, Texas (2008) and then was held at Eastview UPC in Lufkin, Texas from 2009-2013. In 2014, the conference was moved to the Texas District Campgrounds where it was held from 2014-2022 in the youth tabernacle. The conference has grown steadily over the years and in 2023 the district board approved the location to be moved to the beautiful new sanctuary of Lufkin First Church.
Over the years, we have had a number of incredible speakers. There have been countless testimonies of lives that have been changed and ministries that have begun as a result of this conference.
