Gary Carter currently serves as the president of Texas Bible College. He also served as the Texas District Global Missions Director for 18 years and pastored for 14 years in Gainesville, Texas, prior to beginning his tenure at Texas Bible College. He grew up in Illinois and earned his Bachelor of Theology Degree from Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, Minnesota. In 2018, he received his master's degree in Intercultural Studies at Apostolic School of Theology.
Rev. Carter was a single parent for 10 years following the tragic death of his wife in a car accident. He is the proud father of a daughter, Alyssa, who recently served as an AIM worker in Europe for 5 years. Rev. Carter and his wife, Cheryl, make their home in Lufkin, Texas, where they are involved in various areas of ministry.
