Gary & Cheryl CarteR
Gary Carter was a single parent for 10 years following the tragic death of his wife, Lydia, in a car accident. He is passionate about ministering to singles and providing tools for them to live overcoming lives. Bro. Carter earned a Bachelor of Theology degree from Apostolic Bible Institute and a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Hope International University. He has served in a variety of ministry roles, including pastor, assistant pastor, singles leader, quizmaster, and christian school administrator. He previously served as the Texas District Global Missions Director for 18 years, and was honored to serve full time at Texas Bible College for 17 years.
Currently, the Carters travel ministering to churches and to singles. Bro. Carter is an adjunct professor at Texas Bible College. Cheryl Carter is the founder and director of Texas Singles Conference. Life took an unexpected turn when she married later in life at the age of 45. Sis. Carter has the "t shirt" when it comes to experiencing the joys and challenges of living life as a single adult. During this season a passion was born to help others walking the same journey. One of her greatest joys is to see singles be ministered to and to plan trips and events for singles, especially if a cup of coffee is involved. Sis. Carter has served as the Texas District Single Adult Ministry Director for 20 years. She also serves as the UPCI Single Adult Ministry Secretary. She has worked in management and administrative positions both in secular companies and non-profit organizations. Currently, she is working on completing her college degree and traveling full-time in ministry with her husband. |
