Gary & Cheryl Carter
Gary Carter earned a Bachelor of Theology Degree from Apostolic Bible Institute. He received a Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies from Hope International University in 2018. Bro. Carter was a single parent for 10 years following the tragic death of his wife, Lydia, in a car accident. He is passionate about ministering to singles and providing tools for them to live overcoming lives.
Bro. Carter has served in a variety of ministry roles, including youth leader, singles leader, assistant pastor, bible quiz quizmaster, christian school administrator/principal and pastor. He also served as the Texas District Global Missions Director, and was honored to serve 17 years at Texas Bible College. Currently, he and his wife, Cheryl, travel full-time speaking on the topics of prayer, prophecy, spiritual disciplines, healing from loss and speaking to singles. Fun Fact: His mother has 17 siblings. Cheryl Carter is the founder and director of Texas Singles Conference. She was born in Houston, Tx and grew up in Cleveland, Tx. Life took an unexpected turn when she married later in life at the age of 45. She has the "t shirt" when it comes to experiencing the joys and challenges of living life as a single adult. During this season a passion was born to help others walking the same journey. One of her greatest joys is to see singles be ministered to and to plan trips and events for singles, especially if a cup of coffee is involved. Cheryl has served as the Texas District Single Adult Ministry Director for 19 years and currently also serves as the UPCI Single Adult Ministry Secretary. She has worked in management and administrative positions both in secular companies and non-profit organizations. Currently, she is working on completing her college degree and traveling full-time in ministry with her husband. Fun Fact: She has 10 siblings and is a twin. |
