Gary Carter currently serves as the president of Texas Bible College.
Rev. Carter also served as the Texas District Global Missions Director for over 17 years. He pastored for 14 years in Gainesville, Texas, prior to beginning his tenure at Texas Bible College. He grew up in Illinois and earned his Bachelor of Theology Degree from Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, Minnesota. He is a master's degree candidate in Intercultural Studies at Apostolic School of Theology.
Rev. Carter was a single parent for 10 years following the tragic death of his wife in a car accident. He is the proud father of a daughter, Alyssa, who recently served as an AIM worker in Europe for 5 years. Rev. Carter and his wife, Cheryl, make their home in Lufkin, Texas, where they are involved in various areas of ministry. When he is not working to finish his master's degree or spending time on campus, he may be found playing a round of golf with his friends or studying Greek.
